this week was one for the books.

I HAD JUST EXPERIENCED ONE OF THE BEST WEEK EVER.
SO MANY MIRACLES. SO MANY HAPPINESS. SO MANY SMILES. EVERYTHING IS GOING GREAT.
we got 4 new investigators!!! and they are all super solid and i love them all.
theres:
Dina. shes in her 50's she is living with an american. she conquered cancer. she has so much faith and trust in Christ and she has done so much because of her faith and trust in Christ. we set her on date for baptism the 26 of august. i love her.

Mario. late 20's early 30's. member referral. curious about God. asked if he needed to get baptized again. bc he was baptized in the catholic church as a babe. we tried to explain it to him so he could see the answer and then we said yes. hes interested to learn more and receive the answers to his curiosities.
family alert! weve got Fransisco and Rosaura. they are an older couple we found in the area book. at first they didnt seem that interested but with more time they warmed up and were eager to read the LdM and the pamphlets we left them.
pray for me!
there have been many concerns brought up this week about how "you shouldn't add nor subtract to the bible" the BoM is not. God said that His word is never ending. The Bible and the BoM is the word of God. the word of God is the same. so something i am working on is finding those scriptures in the Bible and the BoM.
if youd like to help the cause please send scriptures youve found.
i love that the church isnt just another religion. that is a way of life.

i love my comp. i love my friends. i love my family. i love my Savior. i am hermana kiara harker and i am a mormon.
peace out girl scout.

i tried special k cereal. liked it. took a pic bc im special k

we had a sleep over. mission style. with my comp. theres a pull out bed couch thing and she slept on that and then i pulled out my mattress and slept on the floor. it was fun. good times.

July 10, 2017

i forgot to grab my journal today. it helps me remember what happened this week. but i have a crazy story so stay in tuned.
its been pretty toasty lately. lots of sweat. but not so much sunburns. knock on wood.
so last tuesday for the forth of july, we had to be home or in a church by 6:30. so we went to a church with our zone. we had a devotional and then we played some games. weve been playing a lot of speed/knock out/ whateveryouwanttocallit. i dont have much arm strength to shoot like normal bball players so i just chuck it. it goes towards the square. sometimes i actually make it. good fun.
we had an awesome miracle happen on wednesday. we found a teaching record for this one guy and his less active girlfriend (espovio) and it had been 6 years from contact. and so we drove over there and we met the less active "espovia" (when they call each other their husband or wife but they are actually still dating and living together for forever) and she was saying she was just thinking about how she needs to go back to church and then we showed up! she told her mother in law "maybe its a sign" when she saw us. im excited to work with her. she has a solid testimony of the church.
then we had a lesson with pancho our investigator. probably going to drop him. but he went to soccer so we were able to play! yay! more sweating! i stayed in a little square almost the whole time. they were pretty good and they guy in the yellow jersey would kick it so hard it could take someone's head off! but it was fun. i got competitive.
ok here comes the crazy story. so we went to visit some potentials and afterwards right  before dinner, we made some phone calls. it all of a sudden starts raining so i try to take some cute rain picutres. they didnt turn out good. and while hna corona is on the phone i see this white truck on the other side of the street. theres a shirtless man taking stuff out of the bed of the truck and a girl with crazy blonde hair walking around him. it looked like she was laughing. the guys gets in the truck and starts throwing books and papers out towards the lady she reaches in for stuff and then water starts flying and they start fighting and throwing stuff. all of a sudden he grabs her and drags her into the car and starts beating her! i tried telling hermana corona but words wouldnt come out. i open the car door and start yelling at him to stop. there was another woman in the apartments across the street yelling too. he pushes her out of the car and he peels out and drives away. we run over to her to see if shes okay. she has blood running out of her mouth and huge scratches under her arm. she smelled of beer and she was shaking and crying in shock. we end up calling her dad to come pick her up. she didnt let us call the police. she got our names and numbers down so when she did call them she would have witnesses. we havent got a call. im still safe. the guy didnt see us. dont worry too much. im just glad we were there to help her out and that she is okay. i still want to call her dad to see if she is okay.
this week went pretty fast! and the past 3 weeks we've had a goal for every companionship in our zone to hand out 15 BoM's. or a total of 165. and we did it! we only handed out 11 but we made the goal and so we are going to go celebrate now! yay!
go read the BoM. President Thomas S. Monson said so.
stay fresh friends.

Fourth of July. I wore red and white and ate blue chips.

busy for dayzzz!

my beloved friends and family. i love you.
we went to the temple this week! its crazy to think that that was this week. its gone by so fast!
poco a poco.
we went to this less active's house the other day with a member and we totally got her to crack. she finally let us in! only because the member was with us and he was standing at the peep hole...but the comp shared a scripture about the atonement and she started crying and accepted to come to church and to have her 2 year old baby blessed. she was the relief society president before. so she came to church yesterday and her baby was blessed and she was smiling and then we invited her to a branch family home evening and she replied back: thank you...for everything. ah! this branch is poppin! no but its really been going good. i love this little branch. im to the point where ive been here long enough to now get involved in these people's lives and i feel im more comfortable with my Spanish so i can understand and add my humor a little bit with them. i love them.
the other day we helped this lady move. she's not investigating the church or anything but she got in contact with the elders because she needed help moving. and so we took some time to help her move! it was awesome. we packed that uhaul like its never been packed before. i was pretty proud. my biceps were actually quite sore. i love it. but at the end she was crying out of appreciation, i invited her to church with the English elders. always leave them with an invitation.
miracle/ tender mercy:
so our missionary fund was restocked in our credit cards at the beginning of the month of july. we went out to eat because a member was too packed with work. we went to this cool Italian place and i had a plate with angel hair. reminded me of something my mom has made. it was super good. and then i was waiting for the lady to come bring us our checks but then she said that someone had already taken care of it! (should have asked for desert...jokes jokes:) and then a man walked up to us and asked us how we were and told us he was in the English ward and that he saw us when he walked in! he paid for us! such a sweet guy. saved some mission money.
these people love to talk and so we sit there and listen a lot. and then they always ask us if we are tired. no we are just listening! look alive harker! but its hard. its hot and i do get tired but thats part of life.
keep on keeping on people. read the Book of Mormon. please. it will change your life. but dont be scared. its in a good way. i love you! theres so much more i want to share but not enough time to do it!
will you come along with me on a journey and laugh with me? lets goo

i did another face mask and so i took lots of funny pictures.
there's this big tree outside our church and i love it.
